And, finally, third full-length is something incredible. Four years have passed since the creation of this band and during this time there has been considerable progress - from the unpromising imitation of Destrose to an independent, excellent project. That's what it means to work hard for several years. Now this is not just a templated fantasy, from which everyone has long been tired.
First impression of album begins with cover art. Half full bottle and inverted glass. What does this mean? I think the answer is obvious. Now about the sound. Here you can hear heavy / power metal, but the sound is very dense, wicked, angry. Also lyrics don't always fit exactly into songs construction. Somewhere a lot of pathos, somewhere anger, somewhere a romantic mood - all this is not always compatible with the instrumental parts. Thus, the variety of general constructions is expressed. This, by the way, is quite an interesting idea. Yes, the overall structure remains very simple, but because of such ideas produces a noticeable impression.
Performance of vocal parts at highest level. From the graduate of MI Japan you expect very good results. Just to say that "expectations are justified" means to offend her. A professional of such a high level can not do badly. If in the first single we heard very poor top control, then now in this album we see an excellent performance, which is a very big rarity. Yes, this is still not an ideal, but it's already noticeable that Marina is not in vain professional.
Instrumental parts are something incredible. Rhythm guitar is noticeably very dense sound with increasing low frequencies and adding a pitch-shifter. At first I thought that guitar has a dropped tuning. It turns out that the tuning is standard, these are equalizer settings. It's uncommon to hear such a guitar sound with a high voice. Lead guitar parts are something amazing. Scales can not be called very complex, but they are inserted in the right places. Bass is heard well, and this is a rarity. In this release, attack is poorly underlined, but the sound can be called good. Drums continues this ears holiday. A very large variety of drum parts. It's noticeable that these are not ordinary heavy metal drumming, but really professional work. Also there are additional instruments, but they are not very noticeable in general constructions. It's inserted a little and only in the right places.
This album excellently shows how creativity is changing in a few years. It changes for the better. Album can be called the best release from this band, except that confuse unusual for this genre settings of compressor and equalizer. But I can not put the highest score because it's still very far from the ideal. Yes, album is wonderful. But in 4 years you could come up with a more effective promotion tactic. Well, maybe only now Marina has found her tactics and now it will be impossible to stop her. This we will see in future.
